Being a good and faithful servant. What does that mean? Who is a servant of God? There is more to being a faithful servant than simply saying you are one.
Let's talk first about what it even means to be a servant of God.
Once you become a Christian, your life changes more than you can even imagine. Not only have you been given eternal life you have also become a member of God's Royal Family.
Being a faithful servant to God means not only being true to your word, but it also means you are trustworthy and faithful.
"And the Lord said, “Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his master will make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season? Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes." Luke 12:42-43 NKJV
The Parable of the Faithful Servant
"Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time? Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions." Matthew 24:45-47 ESV

Who is God's Faithful Servant?
- They give God the glory
- They pray without ceasing
- They are dependable and trustworthy
- They are faithful
- They are loyal
How Does Someone Become a Faithful Servant of God?
- Prayerfully ask God to come into your heart.
- Commit to following him.
- Start serving God right where you are.
- Become the church.
- Live your life the way God intended.
- Have a loving heart.
- Let your light shine from within you.
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 NIV
When you become a child of God, you gain unconditional love. Our Father loves us for who we are; not what we look like or what we have. His love is unconditional and forever.
Our goal when being a faithful servant of God is to hear these words when our time has come to an end:
"His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’" Matthew 25:23 NKJV
